JULY
7, 2008 :: Stephens Motorsports in Action at Portsmouth...
Josh McGuire and the Stephens Motorsports team
were in action over the 4th of July holiday weekend at the
Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. The Mid-Atlantic
Championship Series (MACS) sanctioned two high-profile events
on Saturday and Sunday, July 5-6 at PRP. In the $10,000 to
win 'Pepsi 75' on Saturday night, Josh was ninth fastest in
qualifying and later won his heat race behind the wheel of
his #34 entry. After starting from the outside of the front
row for the 75-lap main event, Josh sported a great racecar,
but unfortunately suffered mechanical woes that led to a twelfth
place performance in the 'Pepsi 75.'
Due to the mechanical problems with the #34
car on Saturday, Josh wheeled Tim Hall's #11 car in the Sunday
finale at Portsmouth. The Grayson, Kentucky native rallied
to finish fifth in his heat race and advanced to the $5,000
to win 'Independence Day 50' by virtue of his second place
effort in the B-Main. After starting nineteenth on the grid
for the 50-lapper, Josh was able to gain seven positions en
route to another twelfth place finish. You can view complete

JUNE
30, 2008 :: #34 Team Rained Out at Lernerville...
The Stephens Motorsports #34 team traveled to
the legendary Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania
last weekend for the 2nd Annual 'Firecracker 100.' The World
of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned the high-profile event,
which drew 62 cars all vying for the $40,000 top prize. Josh
McGuire timed in thirty-seventh fastest during qualifying
on Friday night, June 27 and later ran eighth in his competitive
heat race. He was slated to compete in one of the B-Mains
on Saturday evening, but Mother Nature wiped out the action
on Saturday at Lernerville, as well as the rain date on Sunday.
The C-Main, B-Mains, and the 100-lap 'Firecracker 100' are
now rescheduled for Tuesday, July 29. You can view complete
results from Lernerville online at www.worldofoutlaws.com.

Williams, and John Whitney.
On Saturday evening, the action turned to the
Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio, as another $2,000
top prize was up for grabs. Josh qualified well and later
ran third in the dash to earn the inside second row starting

on Saturday evening, June 14 at the Portsmouth Raceway Park
in Portsmouth, Ohio. The Independent Racing Series (IRS) sanctioned
